In September 2025, Hebei Agricultural University invited Professor Alison Smith from the University of Cambridge, UK, Dr. William Hopper from Université Paris Cité, France, and Professor Sambasivam Periyannan from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia for academic exchanges and lectures.

Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology and Professor at the University of Cambridge, Alison Smith delivered a lecture titled Developing algal platforms for the production of high-value products at the State Key Laboratory Auditorium of HEBAU. Her presentation, attended by faculty and graduate students from the College of Life Sciences and College of Food Science and Technology, provided innovative insights into sustainable biomanufacturing research.

‌Dr. William Hopper's Exploration of Computational Cognitive Science‌
Dr. William Hopper from Université Paris Cité addressed undergraduates and graduate students at the Digital Library Auditorium with his lecture The metacognitive adaptation of mental effort: A computational approach to self-efficacy learning. His talk opened a window to cutting-edge research in computational cognitive science for the College of Information Science and Technology.

‌Professor Sambasivam Periyannan's Insights into Crop Disease Resistance and Academic Writing‌
Professor Sambasivam Periyannan from the University of Southern Queensland presented Genomics and transcriptomics for disease resistance in crops at the State Key Laboratory Auditorium, attended by faculty and students from the College of Agronomy and College of Plant Protection. He introduced new perspectives on genomic and transcriptomic applications in crop disease resistance research.

Additionally, Professor Sambasivam Periyannan delivered a special lecture titled How to get review and research papers in a good shape to get accepted, sharing practical techniques for academic paper writing and publication in English. This session provided graduate students with a deeper understanding of writing and publishing high-quality research papers.
