On October 8th, the signing ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement between the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) and Hebei Agricultural University(HEBAU) for the Establishment of “The CIMMYT and China Hebei Wheat and Maize Research Centre” was held in Beijing. Professor Zhao Jianjun,Vice President of HEBAU, and Dr. Bram Govaerts, Director of CIMMYT, signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties.

Professor Liu Daqun, former president of HEBAU, Researcher Wang Wensheng, Vice Director of the Institute of Crop Sciences, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Researcher He Zhonghu, the distinguished scientist and the chief representative of the China office of CIMMYT, as well as the Director of International Cooperation Office, and Dean of Agronomy College of HEBAU, attended the signing ceremony.
