Recently, the foreign-aid training program titled "Training Course on Jujube Industry Technology for Romania" sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and undertaken by HEBAU, has successfully concluded. 26 participants, including experts and technicians from universities and research institutions in Romania attended the 21-day training course. Professor Zhang Lijie, President of HEBAU, Professors Zhao Jianjun and Sang Yaxin, Vice Presidents of HEBAU, Liu Zhibin, Deputy Director of Baoding Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and Catalin Sirop, Second Secretary of the Romanian Embassy in China, attended the relevant activities and delivered speeches. Professor Stanica Florin, Vice President of University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest in Romania, delivered a speech as a representative of the participants. The Director of the International Cooperation Office, Dean of Horticulture College, and teacher representatives of HEBAU participated in relevant activities.
Zhang Lijie said that Chinese jujube is one of the characteristic research areas of Hebei Province and HEBAU, and HEBAU had a deep accumulation in the field of jujube industry technology research. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Romania in 1949, the two countries have maintained a deep friendship and cooperation in various fields has been continuously deepened. The cooperation between HEBAU and Romania in the jujube industry could be traced back to 2008. Both sides actively shared resources such as technology, market, and talent, continuously improving their technological innovation capabilities and market competitiveness. This training course is an important measure for China to emphasize the construction of an open world economy, actively advocate high-quality co-construction of the "the Belt and Road", and continue to deepen the cooperation between China and Romania in the field of agricultural science and technology innovation. He hoped to further promote international exchanges in jujube industry technology innovation at HEBAU through this training course, help improve Romanian jujube planting and processing technology, and promote cooperation between the two countries in international trade of jujube products.
Stanica Florin expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and HEBAU for providing this valuable learning opportunity. Through the training course, Romanian participants gained a deep understanding of the development status of relevant technologies in Chinese jujube industry, and also had a deep understanding of the breadth and depth of Chinese culture and the warmth and friendship of the Chinese people. In the future, the participants will apply these advanced technologies learned from this training course, especially in the deep processing and product development of jujube, to practical work, further promoting the development of Romanian jujube industry.
