On June 27-29, the Symposium on Frontiers in Crop Molecular Breeding of “2024 International Conference on Industry-University-Research-Application Cooperation”, sponsored by the National Center for Schooling Development Programme, the Ministry of Education, the People’s Republic of China, and jointly hosted by Hebei Education Department, Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology (Provincial Bureau of Foreign Experts) and HEBAU, took place in Baoding, China. 24 experts and scholars from global top universities over 10 countries including China, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia and Italy, such as University of British Columbia, International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center, John Innes Centre, University of Hong Kong, etc. delivered the keynote presentations on the theme of "Frontiers in Crop Molecular Breeding".
More than 200 experts, scholars, researchers, representatives of enterprises, and graduates gathered in Baoding for in-depth discussions and exchanged for further cooperation on cutting-edge theories and technologies of crop molecular breeding, such as crop functional genomics, genome editing and rapid breeding, making joint plans to develop relevant disciplines and advance the integration of industry, university, research and application.
