On October 11th, the opening ceremony of the “Seminar on Agricultural Product Processing Technology for The Republic of Chad”, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by HEBAU, was open. 20 officials from Chad participated in the training course. Professor Zhao Jianjun, Vice President of HEBAU, Ji Zhenqi, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of the Education Department of Hebei Province, and Yang Min, Deputy Director of the Commerce Bureau of Baoding City, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.  Issa Ahamat Issa, Minister of Agriculture Production and Transformation of Chad, delivered a speech as a representative of the trainees. Officials from the International Cooperation Office (College of International Education&Exchange ) and the College of Food Science and Technology, as well as faculty representatives, attended the opening ceremony.

 The training course will last for 20 days. Profeesors of the College of Food Science and Technology, HEBAU will deliver the knowledges of theories and practices on Chinese food processing technology to the trainees from multiple perspectives through theme lectures, case studies, discussions and exchanges, physical visits to well-known enterprises and historical sites, to help them understand China and Chinese culture. This is the fourth foreign-aid training program held by HEBAU in 2023.
