On the morning of October 19, the opening ceremony of the "Ecological Plant Protection International Entomology Summit Forum&‘the Belt and Road’ Regional Insect Diversity&Pattern Assessment and Training Course on Intelligent Monitoring System Key Technology" was held in HEBAU. Vice president Professor Zhao Banghong attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. More than 200 foreign experts and students from 17 countries and regions, as well as scholars from domestic universities and research institutions, attended the event.

The Forum&Training Course lasts for six days, with 26 theme presentations at HEBAU. It aimed to strengthen scientific research and academic exchanges on insect morphological diversity, genetic diversity, and species diversity under the topic of "ecological plant protection". It provided scientific training from the perspectives of morphology, genetics, and big data analysis on aspects of specimen collection, analysis of data from different dimensions, development of biogeographical patterns, artificial intelligence recognition, and sports mechanics, It discussed and formulated the technical standards for insect diversity&pattern assessment and intelligent insect monitoring system, established an alliance on the topic so as to tackle ecological problems that cannot be solved by a single country, and practice the global values of a community with a shared future for mankind.
