From December 15th to 17th, the “Symposium on Biological Breeding and Sciences”, a branch of the “2023 International Enterprise-University-Research-Application Cooperation Conference” hosted by the School Planning, Construction and Development Center of the Ministry of Education and jointly organized by the Education Department of Hebei Province and HEBAU, took place in Baoding. The conference invited renowned experts from home and abroad to deliver reports on the hot topic of “biological breeding and science”. Hou Jianguo, a second-level inspector of the Education Department of Hebei Province, and Zhao Jianjun, the vice president of HEBAU, attended the conference.

At the opening ceremony, College of Food Science and Technology and three other colleges of HEBAU signed cooperation agreements with six enterprises, marking a new chapter in enterprise-university-research-application cooperation.More than 200 experts, scholars, researchers, international students, and graduate students from well-known institutions in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, South Korea, the Netherlands, Finland, Romania, and other countries gathered together to conduct 22 academic reports on the theme of "Plant Breeding Innovation for Nutrition and Health, and Industry-University Collaboration for a Win-win Future". They carried out discussion, exchange and cooperation in a profound manner, and jointly planned to promote discipline construction and the integration of industry, academia, research and application development.
