Recently, the General Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs released the list of key laboratories jointly built by the ministry and province. the "Key Laboratory of Dairy Health Breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (jointly built by the ministry and province)" declared by HEBAU was approved for construction.

The lab is led by Prof. Li Jianguo, a faculty member of the College of Animal Science and Technology, supported by HEBAU, and jointly built by four units, including Shijiazhuang Tianquan Improved Dairy Farm, Junlebao Dairy Co., Ltd., Liuji Biotechnology Development Co. Ltd. in Langfang City, and Hebei Animal Husbandry Improved Variety Work Station. Focusing on the key links restricting the development of the dairy industry chain, the key laboratory, with the goal of "high-quality forage - high-quality population-high-quality milk", serves the modern dairy production via bringing together production, education and research, to guarantee the high-quality development of the dairy industry. It is an important strategic scientific and technological force to support the high-quality development of the dairy industry in Hebei and the overall revitalization of rural areas. Key lab approval will further promote the construction of scientific research platform and effectively improve the scientific and technological innovation, high-level talent training and social service in HEBAU.
