On September 13, the "Training Course on Prevention and Treatment of Foot and Mouth Disease in Pakistan" hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and undertaken by HEBAU was successfully completed online. 43 officials, experts and technicians from Pakistan attended the 21-day training course. Prof. Li Cundong, Vice President, attended the graduation ceremony and delivered a speech. Imtiaz Hussain, from the University of Sagoda in Pakistan made a speech on behalf of the participants. The ceremony was presided over by Prof. Zhao Jianjun, Director of the International Cooperation Office and Dean of the College of International Education Exchange in HEBAU.

Li Cundong said that animal husbandry is one of the key areas of China-Pakistan cooperation. Through the exchange of expertise in the prevention and treatment of foot and mouth disease, this training has deepened the exchanges between the people of China and Pakistan and the friendship between the two countries. Imtiaz Hussain said that the cross-border spread of foot and mouth disease is the main factor restricting the development of Pakistan's animal husbandry. The training aimed at the prevention and treatment of foot and mouth disease and the introduction of vaccines, which improved the professional ability of Pakistani practitioners in an all-round way.

This training course is the second online foreign-aid training program held by HEBAU in 2022. The training course has set up online classroom lectures, exchange forums, field visits, etc., which has made uplifting contributions to bilateral education, science and technology as well as bilateral solid cooperation.
