On June 25, the "Pakistan Cotton Cultivation Training Course" hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and undertaken by HEBAU was successfully opened online. Dr. Gu Wenliang, Agricultural Commissioner of the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, and Professor Li Cundong, Vice President of HEBAU and Mr. Ali Nawaz N. Channar, a Director Technical of the Ministry of Agricultural Extension of Sindh Province, Pakistan attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. The ceremony was presided over by Professor Zhao Jianjun, Director of the International Cooperation Office and Dean of the College of International Education and Exchange. Li Cundong said that at present, the economic corridor jointly built by China and Pakistan has entered the second phase. Agriculture is one of the key areas of cooperation between the two countries. We have a broader space for cooperation in cotton planting and trade, modern agricultural technology, agricultural product processing and other fields.
This training course is the first unilateral one held by HEBAU for Pakistan. It is expected that a positive contribution via the training course could be made to strengthen the cooperation in education, science and technology between the two countries. It will be beneficial to people's living standards, social prosperity and stability as well as food security. The training course will last 21 days with 32 participants from Pakistan.
