On March 10, Clarivate Analytics updated ESI data, and Chemistry of HEBAU entered the top 1% of ESI (the global ranking system) for the first time. The statistical time span is from January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2021. There are 670 WOS papers in Chemistry of HEBAU cited 9076 times in total with a frequency of 13.55 times. Chemistry becomes the third discipline in HEBAU entering 1% of ESI after Agricultural Sciences and Plant&Animal Science.

In recent years, HEBAU continues to strengthen the top-level design of discipline construction and highlight the leading role of discipline construction. It has enhanced linkage of departments and implemented the iniative to improve the level of ESI discipline by introducing and developing high-level talents in a targeted manner.It advances cooperation with high-level universities and research institutes at home and abroad, takes NSFC programs as incubators for high-level paper output, encourages faculties to pay more attention to frontier research and hot issues of ESI disciplines for high-quality academic papers output and continuously improvement of the level of ESI disciplines.
