Recently, Hebei Provincial Department of the Science and Technology announced the list of “2022 International Science and Technology Cooperation Bases in Hebei Province”. The "Hebei International Joint Research and Development Center for Modern Agricultural Biotechnology" (The Center) recommended by HEBAU was successfully approved.

The Center, relying on scientific research teams of College of Life Sciences and College of Horticulture in HEBAU, has carried out close cooperation with foreign universities and scientific research institutes such as John Innes Center and Cambridge University in UK. It will carry out agricultural basic research and applied basic research in key fields such as agricultural genome, biological manufacturing and molecular breeding and jointly cultivate high-level young agricultural leading talents and a world first-class team in modern agricultural biotechnology innovation, for the purpose of being built into an international scientific and technological cooperation base in the field of agricultural biology with international influence.

With the help of global science and technology resources, the Center aims to expand the external influence of important carrier and backbone of science and technology, strengthen science and technology cooperation and exchanges between Hebei and the world, improve the conditions and capacity-building of international science and technology cooperation and enhance the international influence of science and technology innovation in Hebei.
