18 May-19 May, Professor David Thompson from the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences, New Mexico State University visited AUH and was received by Vice President Ma Zhiying .

In the meeting, the director of International Cooperation Office introduced AUH and some of the colleges. Professor David Thompson introduced the research development of the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences in New Mexico State University. The two sides have agreed on their initial intention to launch a scientific research cooperation and teacher exchange programme.

During the visit, the guests visited the National Engineering Research Center for Agriculture in Northern Mountainous Areas, including Resource Informationization Technology R&D Lab, Crop Germplasm Resources Lab, Hebei Branch of National Maize Improvement Center, Maize Physiological Genetics Laboratory, Maize Seed Testing Laboratory.

Principals and teachers from International Cooperation Office,Management Office of Sci-Tech, College of Agronomy, College of Plant Protection and Mountain Area Research Institute also presented.
