On April 28, at the invitation of the College of Agronomy, Qi Baoxiu, Sepcially-Invited Expert – the “1st Taihang Scholar” of HEBAU and Research Fellow of University of Bath, UK came to the west campus of HEBAU for an academic report titled “How to Write a Research Paper in English”and“Production of Fish Oil in Higher Plant by Multiple Gene Transfer Technology”. There are over 60 postgraduates, teachers and responsible persons of the College at the report.
In her report, Qi Baoxiu carefully explained English research paper-writing methods, skills, notices and research data processing, as well as some examples to possible problems in writing. Qi Baoxiu also gave some detailed explanation to her research ideas on production of fish oil in higher plant by multiple gene transfer technology. After the report, Qi Baoxiu had a further discussion with the students and teachers of the College of Horticulture, and exchanged ideas with them on English writing, gene cloning, vector construction, gene transfer and so on.
Qi Baoxiu, female, Doctor and Research Fellow of Department of Biology, University of Bath, UK, is one of the 1st batch of specially-invited professors – “Taishan Scholar” and doctoral supervisor. She has published over 30 papers on SCI journals, such as Nature Biothechnology and others. She is also invited as a peer reviewer for the Journals such as PLOS ONE，Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology，Plant Cell，Organ and Tissue Culture.
At the beginning of 2017, Research Fellow Qi Baoxiu was invited as a part-time professor at Hebei Agricultural University and the first specially-invited expert – Taihang Scholar.
