On June 30th, 37 students of HEBAU attended the pre-trip training for overseas students organized by the Overseas Study Service Center of the Ministry of Education. The study of overseas security, citizen consular protection, foreign discipline, foreign affairs etiquette, mental health, daily health care, personal and property safety and other knowledge, is to integrate into the oversea study and life as soon as possible to do a good ideological, behavioral and psychological preparation. The 37 students would go to the University of California Riverside, USA; Doane University, USA; the University of New South Wales, Australia; the Inholland University of Applied Science, Holland; Shinshu University, Japan; the University of British Columbia in Canada and other overseas universities for communication and study in this summer and autumn.
In recent years, HEBAU has actively built an inter-collegiate exchange and learning cooperation platform, has successively established the "2+2" dual degree program with Doane University, USA and the Inholland University of Applied Science, Holland; has set up the undergraduate-graduate liaison program with the University of New South Wales in Australia, the University of California Riverside in the United States, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the United States, and has signed cooperation memorandum with more than 30 universities overseas, such as: the University of British Columbia in Canada, Fachhochschule Schmalkalden in German, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, Shinshu University in Japan. As the partner of oversea universities, the students of HEBAU could benefit from this and enjoy a series of preferential policies for inter-collegiate cooperation. Some of them were reduced in tuition and got scholarships from cooperative universities. Some of them got dual bachelor's degree in four years and dual master's degree in three years. Some of them obtained the priority admission qualification of world-class universities through the undergraduate-graduate liaison program.
In order to actively expand the exchange channels of students studying abroad, set up a multi-channel, multi-level and multi-type exchange platform, HEBAU has rationally laid out and customized cooperation programs suitable for different universities and disciplines, and actively established mutual tuition waiving, tuition reduction and preferential admission programs, made up “Interim Measures for the Management of Overseas Exchange and Study among Undergraduates of HEBAU” to regulate the service and management of oversea students. The preparatory class for studying abroad provided all-round training for students' language, international etiquette and traditional Chinese culture. By means of visits of cooperative universities, newspaper of HEBAU, new media, etc., HEBAU widely publicizes inter-collegiate exchange programs, enhances students' awareness of participating in international exchanges, instructs them to prepare as early as possible and plans their exchange and study plan reasonably, provides professional services such as material preparation and interview guidance for students, and continuously pays attention and cares to the study and life of students outside HEBAU.
Through rational layout, policy support, language compaction and wide publicity, HEBAU has been increasingly diversified in the exchange programs of HEBAU, and its management has become standardized, the measures are more effective, the services become professional, who also provides the students of HEBAU with bridge of worldwide leading universities, platform of independence cultivation, high recognition, high- level of international education and global, diversified employment opportunities, which have become an important driving force for the development of HEBAU deeply into the internationalization strategy and system for the development of the global talent training system and the innovative training mode.
