Science and Technology Department of Hebei Province Recognized HEBAU as the International Scientific and Technological Cooperation Base of Hebei Province


Recently, the Sino-US, Sino-Japanese Joint Research Center of Food Science and Engineering was recognized as the International Scientific and Technological Cooperation Base of Hebei Province, which is based on the Food Science and Engineering Discipline of HEBAU. In 2017, 15 International Scientific and Technological Cooperation Bases were recognized in Hebei Province, and HEBAU was selected as the only institute of higher education.


At present, the Cooperative Base is cooperating with universities such as the University of Georgia, the University of Tsukuba, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and the University of Hawaii. The base will continue to joint with experts from USA or Japan for project application and scientific research conduction in the fields of Marine Biological Resources Processing, Fruit and Vegetable Processing, Food Processing, Livestock Processing and so on, which will offer support for Food Science and Engineering discipline in Hebei Province, promote international cooperation in the concerning fields, and further enhance our international technology cooperative ability.


It is reported that Prof. Sun Jianfeng, the director of “The Sino-US, Sino-Japanese Joint Research Center of Food Science and Engineering”, is an introduced talent of HEBAU, who got his Ph.D from the University of Tsukuba, Japan. He is one of the first batch of young talents of Hebei Province, one of the experts of "333 Talents’ Project" in Hebei Province, and one of the young academic leaders of HEBAU, who is titled with “An Outstanding Scientific and Technological Worker in Hebei Province” and got “Youth Scientific and Technological Award of Hebei Province”
